My December Poem

December
A joyful time to be with friends
There is no time to be rude
Get to the stores by noon
And buy your gifts
You have to hurry
Here comes a flurry
Now the streets are covered
With a blanket of snow
The air is getting colder
The fire is getting warmer
The kettle on the stove starts whistling
Hot chocolate so warm
Bundled up so tight
Getting ready for a snow fight
Everyone gathers for a beautiful
Night of joy and happiness

  1. Dear Emily,
Your poem was great. It tells everything that goes on in December. All the snow, hot chocolate, family time, and shopping bags is what makes this month special. Don't forget to enter my contest. http://passionateparagraphsroom101.blogspot.com
